Our Team

Malcolm has 20 years’ experience in the development and construction industry delivering high quality projects. Before joining 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, he was a Director at a global property and construction company.

As General Manager of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, Malcolm has day-to-day involvement in the delivery of each project. He has a broad range of experience in all sectors and asset types of development and construction.

Before joining 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, John was a Senior Project Manager for a NSW State Transport Agency working on infrastructure, rail, station, and commercial projects. John has worked for more than 18 years in the construction industry.

John has previous experience at a global property provider working on commercial fit-outs and hotel projects. John is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has 12 years of project management experience in Australia.

John Cheyney

Estimating Manager

George has over 30 years’ experience in the development and construction industries, having worked in numerous construction management and project directorship roles across a wide variety of sectors such as education, commercial, industrial, community, residential and government.

He is highly experienced in strategy development and directorship roles, and with oversight across the entire project lifecycle, he ensures that our clients receive continuity of service from inception to completion and post occupancy support.

George Kandylas

Operations Manager

Robert brings over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, specialising in Modern Methods of Construction (MMoC) with a focus on prefabricated timber. He has worked on iconic projects such as Star City Casino, the Eastern Distributor and Rhodes Shopping Centre, contributing to the advancement of prefabricated building solutions in Australia.

Robert ensures designs are practical, cost-effective and aligned with client goals, collaborating closely with consultants, suppliers and delivery teams to deliver optimised outcomes across all project phases.

Design Manager & Innovation Manager

David has 25 years of construction expertise under his belt and extensive experience in the project delivery of civil and civic buildings in and around Sydney.

David is skilled in team building and with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, and has the ability to work in a complex team environment successfully managing multiple stakeholders. He is focused on client satisfaction, quality, safety and environment and expert delivery on time cost and quality.

David Anderson

Senior Project Manager

Lyle has 14 years' in the construction industry. He started his career as a residential carpenter and progressed to a management position within a national construction company. He has extensive experience working on commercial, industrial, technology, and residential projects.

Lyle is a licensed Builder with proven experience in design management, cost planning, financial management, programming, and team leadership. Lyle has won 4 Master Builder awards on completed projects.

Construction Manager

James is a descendant of the Bundjalung and Yaegl Aboriginal Communities of Northern NSW where he holds ties to the Robinson, Webb, and Duroux families.

James has worked on a vast range of construction projects over the past 2 years and has gained extensive experience in Contract Administration and Project Management. His personal goals and career aspirations are to provide prosperity for Aboriginal families and communities through the employment of Aboriginal Men and Women within the construction industry.

Mark has more than 18 years of industry experience, and is results-oriented, quality-focused, and deadline driven. He is a Site Manager with a proven record of success in managing various facets of construction within the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

Mark provides a clear vision and direction to assist in driving strong business growth and profitability, with distinctive attention to detail, while consistently researching information to achieve improved practices and procedures.

Mark Duncan

Site Manager

Matt has a successful 15-year background of managing projects in the health, education, recreation, residential, office and retail industries.

He has a superior ability to plan, manage and deliver several projects simultaneously and strong communication skills that foster teamwork and productivity and assist in identifying, analysing and resolving challenges and providing innovative solutions to unexpected challenges. Matt proactively reviews his projects to ensure conformity to building plans and design layouts while maintaining safe and productive construction sites.

Hylton has 23 years of industry experience, with a focus on single and multi-dwelling residential, industrial, civil, commercial, and retail fit-outs.

Hylton began his career with a carpentry apprenticeship in Auckland, New Zealand, after which he then completed a Bachelor of Construction Management. He followed this qualification into site supervision, management and project management positions across multiple sectors before entering the Sydney construction industry in 2006.

Construction Manager

Michael is a Chief Safety trainer in all things from site-specific induction training, forklift refresher, chain of responsibility in transport, to accredited first aid and HSR training.

His experience extends across many industries including 15 Years in defence, construction, transport and logistics, transportation of dangerous goods, driver training and security and risk management. With an extensive understanding of construction methodologies, Michael is able to actively manage quality through effective monitoring of internal processes on all 51³Ô¹ÏÍø sites.

Safety & Compliance Manager

Liam is a young Indigenous man hailing from the Hunter and Regional Aboriginal communities, who has had 4 years of experience working in the Construction Industry and has also obtained multiple recognised industry certifications.

Liam is a driven and self motivated professional who is outcome and quality focused. His core construction skills include project coordination, planning, stakeholder management, site supervision and project delivery.
