Scope:
The scope of works of this project involves replacement of combined potable and fire mains within HMAS Creswell and the Jervis Bay Range Facility (JBRF) up to approximately 6,600 meters in total of new mains infrastructure.
Civil works covers several locations across the site, including:
- Water main replacement at Jervis Bay Primary School including network valves;
- Water mains replacement at HMAS Creswell including network valves; and,
- Water mains replacement at JBRF including network valves.
Key Considerations:
Due to the fact that HMAS Creswell is located in Jervis Bay and listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List (CHL), our approach to this project requires a careful and sensitive approach to the work and surrounding areas.
Also, the potable water mains at HMAS Creswell and JBRF are generally original water mains at their end of life, so proper disposal of pipes, fittings, or contaminated soil/water is crucial to prevent environmental contamination.
